Four Letter Domains are bought and sold on the aftermarket every day.

While the weakest domains might only fetch $10 (a jumble of low quality letters expiring next week), the best of them sell for huge amounts.

Two recent examples:

In March 2009, in the midst of a deepening recession, Toys.com, a four letter dictionary gem, was purchased for $5.1 million.

A few months earlier, in December of 2008, the very brandable domain iGen.com was sold for $100K.
